O/T The England Thread

You mean the undisputed world heavyweight goalkeeping champion of the universe? No, go on?

Here's one quick round up:

TeamTalk said:
Ibrahimovic had put the home side in front in Stockholm after 20 minutes but goals from Danny Welbeck and Steven Caulker on debut gave England the lead before the break.

But the Sweden skipper found space to volley in an equaliser before blasting home a free-kick from distance to give the home side the lead on the opening night at the new national stadium.

And the Paris St Germain striker had saved the best until last - an outrageous long-range overhead volley after Hart had failed to clear with his head.

Considering the opposition, there's still every chance he is. Not a bad player or even average, just overrated.

That depends on who's view you are basing your opinion that he is overrated on. The general consensus is that he considerably talented but is overrated due to the fact that he is erratic with his performances and that he lacks the ability to perform in big games. Which is nonsense, as he has demonstrated on a number of occasions but more notably in the past couple of seasons or so for both club and country.

He has won trophies at each club he has been at and has remained a massive influence (in terms of goals, assists and general play) for each team he has played for, with the exception of Barca. Overrated? Quite the opposite.

How did Caulker do tonight apart from scoring? He went off before Sweden turned it around at least I see.
And what about Hudd? For him it was the other way around...

Paul Hayward a journo is giving Caulker a bit of a slating on Twitter, got bullied far too much, needs to learn !!

The fudger is 20 and was making his debut against one of world footballs best strikers, Hayward didnt say anything about how brick Cahill was though

no-one else could have scored that insane goal

Ibrahimovic scored three of his goals after Caulker had been substituted.

Though he was one of our better defenders and actually though we played well.

Caulker out in some decent blocks and scored. Cahill was a little lost, but Shawckross was all over the place

joe Hart cost us the last two goals IMO
