but there is really no where else for him to go though that would make you think highly of him and also meet te level you would expect him to be operating at
Actually, for all the stick that they get, I wouldn't lose respect for him if he went to Emirates Marketing Project.
Sure they have thrown a tonne of money at signings. But, unlike Chelsea, they have shown signs of reining in their spending over the past year.
And, also unlike Chelsea, they don't appear to be a club with a short term, win at all costs philosophy. They are very much about the long term. And, as a consequence, they aren't as prone to hiring and firing managers frequently and on a whim. If they appoint Pep, they will give him time.
And, finally unlike Chelsea, they tend to try to do things the right way and to behave with dignity - qualities that I associate with Guardiola.
All of which is not to say that Chelsea and City are the only PL clubs that could interest him. Arsenal could be a very real possibility. However much we hate them, there's no denying that they are a very well run club whose ethos would match Guardiola's quite well. Same could be said of Man Utd - though I don't see a vacancy for that job for a few years yet.
While I would hate to see him at any rival PL club, Chelsea is the only one to which I believe he is wholly unsuited.
