Once we appoint a full time manager to the job he will want his own players, thats the way it works and he will want his own back room staff. It will be yet another transistion period. Will he be given time to do that and by that i mean will he be given more then a couple of seasons before we start ****ging him off?

But... But... We have to attack all out, no holds barred from the first minute to the last. Otherwise that's just not the Tottenham way, right?
 
Guys, the problem is at the top. AVB, IMHO, could turn any good side into a pile of rubble, he really is and has been that bad. Spurs finished 5th in spite of him not because of him but how many of the new players did he want or pick ?.
Daniel Levy wants to be head cook and bottle washer and he has cost the club bundles in compensation.
For all his faults HR is still the best we have had, or likely to have in a long while.

It's a terrible way to run a football club and one of the main reasons why a lot of big clubs struggle to get anywhere. You can and sometimes have to change the manager every now and then, but there has to be a long term plan for the squad. Avoid players that are likely to drop considerably in value and those that are overpriced. Speculate to accumulate. The only way we can hope to regularly be up there with the richest clubs is to develop players ourselves and occasionally cash in to fund new ones. If someone can't work under those conditions, you know, actually be a coach, then he won't get the job.

That is an eminently logical business plan.

But the most successful football clubs are not driven by logic. And a few of the most successful managers are the opposite of acquiescent.

Well said, It's time to develope and keep our own players. If not we will never be better than a mid table side.

I'm thinking De Boer in the summer. Transplant the Ajax style of play on our club and into our academy.
