not being funny but the league finished over a week ago, we sacked Jose back in April, the Euros are round the corner... and we still haven't actually got anyone in the door? that's concerning. Granted i'm Chief Grumpypants at the best of times, but with the short summer window, we really need someone (the right candidate!) in asap.

What's the delay exactly? if the manager is in a role, then you have to buy them out, buy them out. I mentioned in the Levy thread before about dingdonging around on negotiations costing us. it's bad enough on transfers, going to suffer more if it's on our management selection too. It can't take nearly 2 months to negotiate, should have been dealt with by now.

Now that the potential allure of madrid has been removed, Poch is imo 100% coming and is just a matter of time.

By the end of the week I’d imagine.

It all makes sense. That’s why it probably won’t happen, knowing our luck!

Poch and Conte have only become available (or possibly available in the case of Poch) in the last week or so. I guess Levy can only negotiate or buy out a contract if that's what the manager wants. For all the noise about Poch wanting to come back to us/London, it appears from the message being given by the club in that earlier tweet from Alastair Gold that Poch hasn't yet been pushing to leave PSG. Hence the 'start the process or we'll have to move on to someone else' message.
Maybe Levy could have pushed on Potter or Ten Hag earlier and we could have had one of them in place by now, but then again maybe he was aware that all was not happy in the PSG camp and was waiting to see what would happen there.
I'd certainly hope we have someone in place by the time the transfer window opens but if it takes another week from now to get the right person then it makes sense to wait.
