For all the talk/hope/rumours of the Return of the Poch for next season….. if the unthinkable happens and we are relegated, is the challenge of getting us straight back up enough for him? Is managing a Championship side going to be the level he wants to work at? And if not, what are our feasible options (apart from Ryan Mason)?
Colin clown shoe.

We're not allowed a plastic pitch. Luton and Oldham tried that trick already.
I think it is unfair to put Bodo's success down to their pitch only. Yes, they have an advantage at home but they also get some great results away from home. They are clearly a brilliantly coached team. I was seriously impressed with the way that they progressed the ball against us earlier this season, their passing and movement was exceptional. They have barely two or three players who would be successful in the big European leagues and yet they are a team that are better than the sum of their parts by a huge margin.

Absolutely, Bodo Glimt beat Inter at Inter last night, to progress in the CL. Impressive

The club really need to get it right this time, and I think there are only a couple of managers that will get the fans on board, and we really need the fans backing the team.
But no matter what, the club needs to decide on a strategy and a vision, and fuxking stick to it, and really embed it into every corner of the club, from the top and down to the tea lady! Everyone needs to be aligned and pull in the same direction.

But I'm not holding my breath!

They all need a structure that’s aligned with capable leaders from top to bottom
That imo means sacking Lange and Vinai if they are genuinely responsible for the football sides and decisions

I used to like him and wouldn't be a bad choice but Bournemouth don't always look that organised, can be quite chaotic and ship a fair few.
They sold almost their entire defence last summer. He is building a defence from scratch this season so not surprising they may look a little disjointed. Still better than ours have looked.

I really like him
Went off him because of the injuries
Then realised his squad was tiny and he was still getting an tune out of them
Said it when they played us off the park in his first season he is the new Poch
Even his background is very, very similar
Agreed. I think he is the manager we should be in for but unlikely to be the one we will pick which is a shame imho.

And lost their star striker a couple seasons back and star winger last month. But he has made bang-average players such as Tavares, Adams and Kluivert look top drawer when I watch them.

However, I really think the next manager’s personality is just as big a consideration as his tactics, and am not sure Iraola has that.

Never understood the buzz about Huijsen (sp?) though other than his age.
