Tyson Fury is making his comeback at the stadium in April, maybe we should just ask him to come down early and sort out the brick we're in?

We keep focusing on supposed high intensity press managers, do we even have the players to do it? Our injury situation would suggest not as we have no depth to rotate, and even if we can we would need a semi fit squad first or it’s all knock on effect
You beat me to it. We've got about 12 fit first team players at the minute - so would it be wise to base our relegation fight on an intensely high-pressing style?

It's more about short intensity. If you win the ball back high and quickly, you then rest with the ball a lot. It's haplessly chasing shadows for 90 minutes that causes fatigue.

Igor Tudor it is apparently.

Oustanding. Sacked byJuventus in October after a winless run of 8 games. He'll set the players' pulses racing, I'll bet...

Oh well. Here's hoping he can do enough.

He did get 5 points out of those 8 games, which is probably an improvement on our form.

Maybe the club aren't as obsessed with getting Poch back as Gutter Boy and some of the fanboys, and so if a genuine A or B grade coach is available then they are trying to do a proper deal, hence the delay. If I was a coach/manager in discussions with THFC I would be double checking every line of the contract and making sure I had significant compensation written in for when they probably sack me in 8 to 18 months time. It wouldn't be a rush to sign on the dotted line job.

I'm not invested in a Poch return personally. I think it would be a mistake to go back to him. He was brilliant but his side of the tally chart wasn't unblemished when he left and I haven't been convinced massively by his body of work since leaving us that suggests he is anything beyond a false Messiah in this situation.

Would be my thoughts as well.

So I guess noone should ever be looking at Frank again because of his awful record in last 17 games?

With managers it's about being the right fit for the specific club, he might be a very good choice for this specific period and he might not. But basing it on what happened at the end of his last club (almost every manager who leaves a club is going to have poor form for whatever reason hence them leaving) is not the way to go......

I don’t know the history very well, but ChatGPT suggests England was stronger, wealthier and more confident at the end of the Tudor period.

Could be a good omen.

Nobody at the end of the table we want to be, no.

He'll be fine at another battling underdog. Just like Ange will be fine again at his level - Scottish Prem or English Girls U9s.

Only just come back and had a read through since my last post and all the examples of returning managers doing well at clubs that were in a much better position at the respective times and far better squads at the respective times than the position we are in right now. I guess no one would have even thought of Tudor as interim. I really don`t know where the current decision makers at the club get their ideas from, but I suspect his appointment has not got any fans filled with optimism. And I am still against the return of Poch. Nothing against Poch but until our board change the transfer and wages structure we will never challenge for the title. City got Guehi and Semenyo for a combined 85mil basically the same we have paid for Simons and Galagher I dont know what wages they are getting but until we do the same we aint going nowhere.
