When I post links from twitter it just shows the ULR now, very annoying, any way I can get it to work like it used to

I just clicked on some random tweet and the URL in the Chrome address bar says

h t t p s : / / t w i t t e r . c om / B B C M O T D/ s t a t u s / 1 7 0 2 2 3 8 9 1 1 8 5 2 9 1 6 7 9 8
without the spaces, and the software here automatically shows it as a tweet:

But if I click to share, it replaces the word twitter with an x, because Elon Musk has a tiny penis

I assume the software here just looks out for the word twitter and not a tiny penis inspired x

XenForo hasn't updated to handle x.com links. I see the same issue on another forum.

On the other hand twitter hasn't updated, either, as it's all still at twitter.com, despite all the media calling it x, formerly known as twitter.

worked it out that rather than copy the tweet from the icon at the bottom of the tweet or from copying the link in the URL bar, click on the three dots to the top right of the tweet, select embed, copy the URL it shows then paste it here. A bit laborious but it seems to work.

Our VPS that the site is hosted on is reaching end of life. At some point over the next two months I'll be moving over to a new one. It's quite likely that I'll use the opportunity to update the forum software to the latest version as well.

In the past, usernames, posts, history etc have all migrated fairly well but password hashes and login sessions don't tend to. So can everyone please make sure they have a valid email address registered against their account as you may need to send yourself a password reset when we switch over.

***EDIT***

Please check your email address but do not change it if it's incorrect. Some people are not receiving confirmation emails and are getting lock out of their account.

If your address in your profile is incorrect, PM me and I'll change it.

Another update. Email seems to be fixed for now, you should be able to receive them as normal.
