Dreadful accounts they are, many also make quotes from sources for the likes of SSN etc or foreign sources and you can't find the links for love nor money, by that time the rumours are all over the shop because fans believe what they want...half the issue TBH in my opinion. Twitter for you, no one ever checks source material

Yes, at times when we were playing well the noise dropped (it always does when we win), but a good sized segment hated the guy and couldn't wait for him to fail/get out.

- We took Southampton's manager, gave him a squad capable of getting to Cup finals including the CL, capable of challenging for the PL title at least twice and raising his profile to the point where his next job was PSG to go work with Messi, Mbappe & Naymar. And on top of that paid him out a fudge ton when we fired him.
- The guy is constantly flirting with us, has dinner with our players regularly and never has much bad to say about us

I don't he's saying that Poch still has a grudge against Spurs. He's saying that Poch may not be sure that he won't be stepping into the same situation as he did the first time, so might not be comfortable taking the Spurs job again. Two different things.
The situation the first time was that we were building a new stadium and funds were tight. We're much better off financially now.
One thing i think any new manager will ask though, is kane staying?

Oh, I totally agree that the situation now is night and day compared to when Poch took over. I was just explaining Finney's comment, which was misconstrued.
As for a new manager asking if Kane is staying, if that's their prerequisite to join us, then they're probably not the manager we should be after. A manager confident in his abilities will take Kane staying as a bonus, not a requirement. The manager we should be after is one that will make the team better than the sum of its parts and be able to adapt when key players are out. Which is one more reason I am so keen on Gallardo: he kept losing his best players, but he still maintained the team at a high level and won trophies.

Anyone looking at things logically rather than emotionally should see that Conte isn't getting sacked until top 4 looks beyond him - we're currently still in the mix.

We will obviously win tmrw but equally obvious is we stand no chance of top 4 as this better than average mentally weak bunch will win most of the remaining home games and very rarely win any of the remaining away games. This will include a 100% inevitable loss at anfield.

His Champions league squad had Winks Sissoko, Dele Rose at left back, a perma crock in Wanyama and a geriatric llorente up front. None of whom any other manager got a tune out of. That wasn't a team that was built for the champions league or any ambition of success however you want to spin it. Which was probably why the results were going south in the league.

I suggested a few weeks ago that we should replace Conte when we somehow found ourselves still in the FA Cup and Champions League as well as in a strong position in the league despite some real structural issues with performances. My feeling was we needed to make the change to avoid squandering the fortunate position we were in. A bit like Chelsea had done in the past and had gone on to win trophies the same season they made the managerial change. Unfortunately we stuck with him and now have only one of those 3 success scenarios left and even that is looking precarious. I think the board made an error sticking with him.
