Nathan Oduwa

Thanks for the replies...mmmm I thought he looked quite a good player in the couple of clips I saw of him on YouTube. It goes to show you have to be consistent to make it as a big time player...

He was very good in pre-season, didn't make the trip to North America and then went on loan to Ranger's. He got kicked up in the air by the defenders out there but also lost the favour of Warburton who was reported as saying that he needed to learn when and where to use his tricks. He came back to Spurs in January but IIRC there have been issues with him regarding a new contract. He wanted playing time and wouldn't sign a new one and for most of the end of last season he and the club were at odds.

nope. he had 2 good games up there then reverted to type... which is garbage so got sent back. same thing happened in league 2 with Luton. same thing happened with Niger u23. theres a pattern here.

too lazy to make it as a professional atm

I've kept an eye out for him since that amazing goal in Ledley's testimonial.

But he'll be sold down the leagues in Jan or next summer

Good luck to him - I hope his skills match up with the mental side of his game one day, because the lad's undoubtedly talented and eager to make an impact.

He could be a late bloomer like a Bolasie type - who had a spell playing for a club in Malta aged 18/19 and then spent the next few years in the lower leagues. Oduwa does have ability but his game is so disjointed, he still plays what many would describe as street football but hopefully this move will be the making of him.
