that's generally an attribute of his that i have found Southampton fans bigging upI want someone in there capable of making a meaningful or incisive pass once in a while.

Bentaleb -> Kane -> Dier -> GOAL
Bentaleb -> Ade -> Chadli -> GOAL
Schneiderlin's a DM.
He's really not. He's more of a deep playmaker than that.

He's not a playmaker at all, where does this even come from??? The guy knows pass and move, he can give it five yards, move and receive comfortably but he doesn't have a dynamic pass in him. I don't know what's happened on here but it's as though we've become so accustomed to our CMs offering absolute zilch in terms of passing that anyone who doesn't stumble over the ball when trying to pass forward a few yards gets labelled as some kind of pass master. Schneiderlin is bland, he tackles, he intercepts, he passes simple and occasionally breaks forward off the ball. BLEURGH.
but thats exactly what schneiderlin would bring as well as experience and all round superiority
And you think that Schneiderlin doesn't, or rather can't, make incisive passes?
How much have you actually watched him? I'm getting the impression that it isn't very much.
No thanks...lets stick with our young player thats producing rather than spend 20m plus on a shiny new toy that might produce.
Any money we have left should go on an attacking midfielder that plays further up the pitch and actually offers something different.
He's done it time and time again for Southampton, not exactly sure why that means he couldn't do it for us.
Our manager seems to disagree with you.
Would you be happy to deny him what he most wants?
You meant that reply for me or for Rossi?
Rossi, damnit.
In addition, who do people think replaces bentelab currently in our side when he's unable to play?
yes.
It's clear Poch is happy with the squad (this is demonstrated when he says he's happy with the squad). If he feels that schneiderlin is essential AND we have the cash AND the deal represents good value for money then fine but currently it doesn't look like it does.
We don't need to have 2 creative players, 2 dm's, 2 box to box etc etc. We need a system thats effective and players that can effortlessly slide into the team even if they are a different type of player than the player they are replacing.
