Latest sounding "Plan to get fans back into PL matches" in today's Sunday Times and which is apparently being discussed by a leading club in the northwest and one of London's biggest sides (Man U & Spurs allegedly).

- Fans would go to a testing station at the stadium from 72 hours before a game for a pinprick test, which would give a result in 20 mins;
- If it's negative you'd be given a green laminated pass for match day;
- On match day your temperature would be checked and you'd be given PPE equipment (presumably just a mask and possibly gloves) then pass through a disinfecting mist into the stadium where F&B would be available since everyone in the stadium should be low risk;
- Cost would be around £30 per match per person and it is unclear if the club, sponsor or fans would have to pay this.

Interesting. A few things come to mind (generally,not expecting that you have the answers!)-

I thought the pinprick test was the anti-body one? Or has it been mooted that the have-you-got-it-now test will move from swabs to pin prick?

How do clubs prevent a black market in the passes - I suppose they would have to take your photo at the same time?

PPE is not going to be of much use in the concourses if people are eating and drinking.

It’s good that they are thinking creatively but it is fraught with problems.
 
Sounds awful (and pointless) to me. Transport and walking to & from the from the stadium is gonna spread stuff anyway.

Should just say if you have symptoms then stay away. It’s a flu, not Ebola.
 
Watching Real Madrid vs Eiber. Surprisingly fast paced match, but anyone else find the pretend crowd noise spoils it? Will they also be using that for PL?

Two trips to the ground with the ancillary travel costs and an extra £30 for the tests/PPE.

Not sure how many will be bothered to make the effort.
