That's exactly why I was asking the question - previously there was always this speculation because Levy was close to Poch. Now he has gone, does it make it less likely to happen? The rest of the board might not look at Poch with such fond views, I have no idea....

I don't think though in pro sports any board would sit there and say "pssssst he is mate with Levy, we better not" if they felt he was the best man for the job.

Personally I am not sure its worth going back other than for feel good, but if it happened I would back it 100%

But Levy said in an interview that it's not him that makes the decision to sack the manager and it's one made with all of those at board level. So whilst he was the one who probably delivered the news to Poch, it wasn't him or at least him alone who made the decision. Maybe those who really wanted him gone are still there and with Levy gone makes it less likely.

Like you say all speculation of course, Im still not sure either way if it's particularly likely it's here Poch will end up when he does return to the PL but certainly wouldn't say no. It sounds like he's energised for the challenge :)....

Collecott is the only one of the board who was around when Poch was. All of Charrington, Venkatesham, Turner and Hinson are newly appointed in the last few years.

The board that sacked Poch was Levy, Collecott, Cullen, Caplehorn and Robson

Such a classy interview from a very classy man.

I would say that only Frank and Nuno come close to the class this man had. The others lost their audience based on the way they held themselves to the fan base.

I reckon he'll be back with us one day.

It would not surprise me in the slightest if it happened after the WC is over. Unless of course, we have a big turnround in form in the next 4/5 months
