Great post mate and well thought out, I have been going to the lane for over 50 years and during that time I have seen several things, great players ( Greaves, Mackay, Hoddle, and lots more), I have seen some really top performances against some really great teams, I have seen the glory of winning trophys and the pain of losing some. But I have also seen several false dawns ( which have petered out before to long) now I can see something happening, in the past we have had teams that won things because we had great individuals ( Gazza, Lineker, Chivers etc) now I see a TEAM being built that will play as a TEAM and that has not happened before ( at least not since the 60's imo). If we can keep going in the same direction I do believe that this could be the real deal and not another false dawn.
I really hope so because I am not getting any younger
That's not really telling us much.I would happily eat his cum from my wifes cnut.
I think we're exaggerating a bit our reliance on Kane. Take away his goals and we'd have exactly one point less. Of course that doesn't mean that he's not a key player and I do firmly believe we need another striker, but it goes to show how well-rounded this team is.I'm not so sure that I agree that it is a valid ask as we're still quite early in the season. My expectation is finishing 5-7 as it was at the beginning of the season. I am optimistic because I am seeing some real development, but I don't think that I should change my expectation on the basis of us performing well thus far. We have to focus on us and us only. Forget what's happening to other teams and just do our best. If that means fourth, great. If it doesn't, I'm not bothered so long as we meet our expectations. No-one could have predicted what is happening to Chel53a at the minute, but I don't think that necessarily changes our expectation as that would be getting carried away, imho. Let's see where we are after Christmas and we can re-evaluate if we need, but we still have a very young side, we still have a reliance on Kane, and some of our players are yet to prove themselves (N'Jie and Son to an extent).

I know that was your point and I agree. Was just pointing out the Kane bit, because I feel we can be a bit more relaxed if he happens to not feature in the squad, given the contributions of the rest of the team. I was being selective.I think it is hard to say where we would be without him, as even when he wasn't scoring he was performing very well. I agree with you that the team is well-rounded, but all I am saying is that top 4 is not going to be easy and shouldn't be expected.

Love the guy more then martin jol, my favourite manager since venables. If we beat Arsenal at Wembley he can over take Venables.
Cuckold on a minute, that's disgusting!
If you want further reason to praise Poch - have a read through the last couple of pages of this

Reminds me of how I felt under AVB and Sherwood at times. At least in the first season under AVB we had the odd moment of Bale magic to make things interesting.
To think - there was uproar at Levy when we didn't get LVG.
The best thing about Sunday's win? Not the three points, although that was great. Not spanking West Ham and reminding them how brick they are all game, although that was also great. No - the best bit, and the best bit about Sunday and this season in general, is that the football was actually fun to watch. We have technically competent footballers that are finding space, moving the ball around quickly and creating genuine chances, as opposed to long range pot shots that count as a "shot on goal".
Thank you Poch for making me enjoy watching Tottenham again.
I really like Poch, however the only thing which irks me about him is htat he doesn't seem to trust much of the squad beyond his first 11. Maybe that lack of trust is merited but really do think he could have played people like Wimmer this evening and left one of Verts or Alderweireld at home
Sensible and without hyperbole, very good Dubai
GK CB and CF seems to be the only positions he is not rotating in.
Keeping a new CB pairing together obviously has it's benefits and Vorm hasn't really done enough to force himself into contention. I'd be resting Kane more I have to say but then I've recently read he's covering more ground than any other forward in the league so it doesn't seem like he's flagging fitness wise.
As for tonight, I'm happy we've won and are not facing sudden death match against Monaco in the December schedule - don't think that'd be the case had we played a weaker XI this evening...

Agree with you mate.
