Mauricio Pochettino - Sacked

Wow... what’s the pressure like on Dyche and Howe then???

Teams outside the top 6 don't have any ambition and will be happy as long as they are above the relegation zone. Obviously Spurs are supposed to be more ambitious and cannot be satisfied with just finishing in top 4 all the time. Pochettino is in his 4th year as Spurs manager and needs trophies to prove his worth as a manager. Besides, Spurs badly need trophies to progress as a club or we would become a big club with small club mentality like Everton and Saudi Sportswashing Machine now.

You put Saudi Sportswashing Machine in the same vein as Tottenham.... Saudi Sportswashing Machine have never been a big club

And in This world of short termism I really don’t believe there will be additional pressure because we have a stable manager position... not unless fans want to I need TP for my bunghole

Wenger leaving Arsenal won't be good for Pochettino. That will make Pochettino as the longest-serving manager among the top 6 clubs and the 3rd longest-serving manager in the PL, behind Bournemouth's Eddie Howe and Burnley's Sean Dyches. It will put pressure on Pochettino to start winning trophies for Spurs.
He’s had that ‘pressure’ for two seasons now, Wenger leaving doesn’t change anything...

We could win the double and you would find a reason why it was a bad thing.

I recognise that I might be being knee-jerk, but maybe I’m not: is Poch’s refusal to be pragmatic in defending a lead going to limit our chances of winning any trophy under him?

Utd just shut up shop today once they went ahead. As did Juventus. We have the players to do the same, but by all accounts Poch will never do it because he wants to be ‘brave’ 100% of every game. I’m just not sure our players are good enough to do that against the best teams.

Can’t defend a lead that early surely...

Issue was 2 shots on target

Queue several players demanding to leave. Manager thinks winning cups not important. And he won't be winning the league any time soon with his attitude to squads etc. Gutted. real shame. And not really an overreaction

Best manager we've had in eons.

The Kane thing is bugging me though. He looks half the player he was before the injury. He doesn't look fit nor match sharp to me and frankly I think it is hurting us.

Agreed, and regarding the question above, you cant park the bus after 11 mins. Stupid question.

GHod knows what we do about Kane. His performances are exacerbated by us not really having a proper back-up. If I had to pick the team for the Watford game now, I'd have Son up top and Kane on the bench

I know he's been reported as wanting to get all transfers sorted before the World Cup, but I can't see it happening. The Kane stories are really building up now and I honestly cannot rule him out of leaving, Toby is off and it wouldn't suprise me to see bids coming in for Eriksen and Dembele.

What I don't get is We have the Wembley experience now and did poch not learn any lessons from the juve loss? Same brick took lead but got pegged back and game swung

Odd comments from him in the post match presser:

"Tottenham need more time, of course with me or another, but I think it's so important to keep going, focusing on working and developing that philosophy which is fantastic for the club."
