Swansea City charging mascots Premier League prices

Wasn't aware of this and not sure I'm comfortable with us doing it. Looks a bit small-time to me, particularly when you look at the others on the two lists.

Premier League mascot prices
West Ham United £700 :eek::D:rolleyes:

Leicester City £600

Tottenham Hotspur £405

Wolves £395

Crystal Palace £375

Brighton £350

Burnley £300

Fulham £270

Cardiff City £255

Watford £250

Bournemouth £185

Free: Arsenal, Everton, Chelsea, Huddersfield, Liverpool, Emirates Marketing Project, Man United, Saudi Sportswashing Machine and Southampton.
 
The £700 at West Ham includes a free telescope to use from the seat assigned to the mascot so they can enjoy that pitch-side feeling.
 
I don't agree with the free ones. I'd be really tinkled off if I put my son's name down and he missed out on getting to do this because of chance.
 
Bit unfair of the BBC to put the Caravan Club at the top, I assume that's what they have to pay the kid (tax payer funded), embarrassment money sort of thing.
 
I just checked as thought it unfair on less well off supporters and a high headline price and it seems that some are drawn at random.

Also Price is dependent on game:

CAT A game: Weekends £405 Mid Week £380
CAT B game: Weekends £330 Mid Week £305
CAT C game: Weekends £280 Mid Week £255

The package includes:

• Two tickets for the game (one to be used by the mascot). A limited number of extra tickets can be purchased but are subject to availability
• Replica Kit
• Souvenir Photograph
• Matchday Programme
• Certificate

Our mascots arrive two and a half hours prior to kick off where they will be taken to the tunnel to obtain some autographs; we don’t guarantee that they will get all of the players. They will then return to our mascot waiting area where their kit and match tickets are distributed. 15 minutes before kick off parent/guardian go to their seat and the mascots are taken back to the tunnel ready to go out with the team.

Juice and sandwiches are provided for the mascots and tea/coffee for parents/guardians.

Mascots will line up in height order (the players don’t) smallest one will go with the captain centre circle with the others following Chirpy along the pitch. When they have finished they will then be returned to their parents in the stand.

Assume the match attending tickets must be close to the tunnel?

I must admit i did not know that either, how things change both my son and daughter have been mascots for Spurs when they were younger, as well as leading the players out they got a full strip free and free match tickets for us parents.
 
They obviously forgot the part where they're given the Kool Aid to drink. What a load of nonsense.

Maybe kids are different nowadays, but when I was one, I'd have paid money for a guarantee I didn't have to be involved. On the other hand, it's probably got more to do with the parents wanting to take pictures and tell everyone their kid has been a mascot than it has to do with the innocent victims (sorry, overjoyed recipients). :D
 
Apparently 2 get chosen from the junior spurs members and go free - the rest are purchasable

None of my kids or grandchildren have wanted to do it and I always feel a little sorry for the 10 kids who don't get a chance to kick around with the players before the kick off.
