Dude all I ever get are flu's. Twice a year. Its like clockwork. Once soon before or after spring around March and one soon after summer around October. Going on the tube when youre ill is just an experience that is so so horrible.
 
Apart from a 20 month period i have spent the best part of just over 30 years working(left school at 14) and only getting paid if i did something.

Today i had a lock to fit on an inudstrial estate new firm just moved in and wanted new locks because they did trust the landlord which seemed odd to me and 3 internal locks on different doors and a block lock on a rolling shutter door. Would normally take about 4 to 5 hours. Done it 3 and came back home to bed.

Going to get up early tomorrow and do my cycle ride 50 miles and sweet the **** out of me, asprin and lots of water its all i got for advice boys.

Read somewhere that people who get sick on holiday will soon be able to get their holiday time back off their employer, another reason i hate the left liberal ideas that same to be common place in this country now.

That bit is true - I have read it in our policies etc. The thing is no one really does that. I think we should though as lets be honest majority of the firms look after themselves and dont care so much about you.

I've worked in central London and spent 8/11 years getting 2 trains and a tube into work. I've gone into work in some right old states.

By the way not having a go just bragging really ;)
 
I go down with pretty much every cold and flu going, my immune system must be seriously broken. Really thinking about taking eccinachea as apparently that works wonders? I need to do something as I've always been susceptible to colds and it gets in the way of life.

I'm not in new job yet in spite of looking, I'm at a point of scratching my head and not looking happy as I'm struggling to get work as I don't have relevant experience.
 
man flu got hold of me today, probably after getting smashed at the game yesterday. Have a hot today on the go now, generous double of whiskey, juice from half a lemon, teaspoon of honey. The honey helps, I'll probably have another!

Yeah for sure. I think thats due to the way your body is positioned as in youre lying down so things tend to go sliding down your chest and throat. Sounds saucy haha

Its funny. I have not looked at porn, not had the desire to watch porn and not had the urge to toss. I have just lied on bed watching tv sending work emails. Thats it. oh and looking for furniture for my place. Moving out end of month so need to buy some good quality furniture.

Just contemplating going into work tomorrow. I just dont think I should go in a) cant be bothered and b) I wont be on top form. So whats the point huh
 
Tut tut tut. Feeling brick? Get up, have a pint of cold water, get in a hot hot shower, swash mouthwash for 30 seconds and you'll be fine.

I can work from home though - and I have no meetings. So I can be just as productive at home grrrrrrrr just because you HAVE to go in to work
 
11 years ago was the last time I got anything remotely like the flu. Gave up smoking around that time too. I travel to work on tube. It's all down to lifestyle and staying as far as you can away from antibiotics or any prescribed drugs. If you have the flu try and still be active even a light gym session.

I do and I bloody love it!!

On a serious note though I hate people who constantly call in sick. Always the same ****s within companies and usually the very same who moan about fudging everything.

One of my Managers - we have two. One of them calls in sick every two or three weeks. Only for a day too which is dodgy. Its better to call in sick for two days than one day - its the whole Bradford Factor scoring system. He calls in sick but then at times he will take those sick days as annual leave.

the guy is a pot head so my opinion is the guy is so high that he cant get up to work so calls in sick. The guy is a ****.

Nine or ten days aint bad in around 4.5 yrs.
 
The amount of times at different places i have heard the chav parents call in sick because their kids are in the hospital, i swear the hospitals in this country must just be full of bricky little kids who are up to no good.

Do not ever use your children as an excuse for calling in sick.

Tomorrow i have a few jobs to do but nothing much nothing at all wednesday but thursday looking busy so hopefully this will have passed by then.

I think there is for two reasons. Firstly I deal with clients - it really does look bad when youre coughing and spluttering in front of them - especially in a room where germs spread extremely easily and what happens when you spread the germs on to them?. Secondly its the other workers within the office - you can spread the germs to three or four people - they go off sick and greater disruption to the workplace.

A lot of my clients are NHS so to go to a hospital when youre coughing and spluttering puts patients at risk.

I guess it all depends where and what type of work you do
