Lunchtime Work Meetings

I've recently been promoted and I'm struggling a bit with the sheer amount of meetings I get asked to attend
I know my workload and responsibility will be bigger but I sometimes think how do I do my job as well !!
I feel you on that.
Took me about 4 months to work out which meetings to skip and which to challenge the value of.

brick staff are never the problem - you can just sack them.

It's mediocre staff that fudge everything up. They're not good enough to delegate to, they're not brick enough to sack. I've had to wait 15 years for someone in my place to retire after being shifted sideways again and again.
It's the unionised ones that are the issue

i've almost perfected a way of falling asleep with my eyes open, once I master this, i will be attending as many meetings as I possibly can.
