Luka Vuskovic

Get £60m put a buy back clause in so we get first refusal for x amount everyone wins.

He is clearly not as rated with our coaching staff as he is with our fan base. If he is as good as GB and the like think, why hasn’t Bayern come in for him?

Ya. I agree with this.

I've only seen him a handful of time and he's looked way off the pace (yes I know he's 18) so it's complete guess work if he becomes great or the next Wimmer.

Yeh but it's been a relatively quiet window, so I don't buy the "if so people would be queuing up" or whatever the tired cliché is. You could say that about any player who is decent but hasn't had a relevant offer yet.
The point poster was making was the noise from some citing how good Vuskovic is based on very little actual viewing was that Bayern et al want him according to the oh so trusty internet links so he must be really good.

Well Brighton are seriously persuing him right now, so if such top clubs really do want him they will be putting bids in for him now or face losing him....

I refer my friend to the bolded to why I think the point lacks much credibility

You don't believe Romano? Fair play, I guess we will see soon enough :D

Just think it all adds up, Senesi and VDB will be starters along with VDV and the noises his agent has been making I'd say he's likely going :(....

I think Romano is credible to a level, but I think others share the noise from one source rather than them all being ITK, I have always said that.

The issue with this then looks, if true, that we are Net Zero'ing to trade up the squad, rather than improve and also protect the youth set up we have invested in. Long time to go in the window, but unless we show ambition above that show the ambition the clubs PR has insisted it is showing, then it looks like a fire sale of youth to fund the project now. Rightly or wrongly

No one has made any major transfer moves so far bar us, so you could say that about the entire market as it stands
But if he is attracting major interest from the big boys like some people have said, surely a few bids from another team will force them to move for him if they really do rate him that highly?

I think it's more to do with if RDZ believes the player will fit his system and will want to use him, if he doesn't it makes sense to sell him if he's someone can get a good fee for. We are looking to spend big in midfield and a winger it seems, so it's unlikely we will be anywhere near net zero but it's too early to comment.

For me ambition is about getting in quality and backing the manager, it doesn't have to be about spending stupid sums of money - more be clever and resourceful with what you have. If we've upgraded our defence, midfield and a quality winger for not massive net spend and got rid of a bit of deadweight too then that works for me this window....

We all want to improve, some just want to see improvements whilst protecting the youth system we have worked so hard to put together and spent near on a billion quid to build. I don't think its wild to hold the club accountable for that IMO not having an ambition to protect both. I know its Spurs and that might seem wild given the failures here.

Totally against selling him but if it means we can rebuild the TEAM with the funds then I'll go for it. If Brighton get to £55-60+ then it would mean we've brought in Van Hecke, Senesi and Robertson essentially for free. Along with Romero, Vicario, Sarr sales we should go all out to get Wharton, Tonali, Fernandes, Scott calibre players.
