I keep seeing the Regency Cafe and the Layer Cake reference makes me wanna try it out, but had mixed reviews.

It’s great
Really good food and yeah you get the odd tourist but it’s IMO a very good standard

I found another one (scruffy place) down the right hand side of Euston station after Sophiticats
Food was nice and service was odd and rude.. is actually bang on

I have fond childhood memories of the builder's cafe, fried slice, and, most importantly, pinball machines.

Working in a magic circle law firm one summer, I took the solicitor that I had been assigned to out for lunch at a greasy spoon in London, near Aldwych - this was in the 80s. I'm not sure that they had ever been to one before. It was an interesting experience.

Giggling Sausage just off Borough High St, amazing breakfast. Not a fan of their eggy or fried bread but everything else is good and proper sized portions.

I used to go to George's Cafe. Down the road from the Old Bull Arts Centre, next to Pop In (may have been called something different back in the day, can't remember)

I remember George's, used to get a soup and bread roll there on a cold morning while waiting for the 263 bus to school. The owners used to live in our street too, lovely people.
