Have quite liked having a regular drink to unwind after work during lockdown

Today I have a Seville Orange Tanqueray with Clementine Fever Tree Tonic

Very refreshing

I brought some Cucumber Bitters too and this goes very nicely with a Hendricks

Also Sicilian Lemon Gordons, this with lemonade tastes like Lemon Sherbert

Simply Lovely
 
Double port with a blue wkd, cheeky Vimto.

I also think all these different gins and now types of tonic is a racket. House or Gordons, fat or slim is more than adequate choice.

Cucumbers are 95% water, so you are getting fleeced by buying watered down bitters...which we used to call Tetleys back in a the day.
 
Having a zoom roostertail party tomorrow night, think I will start with a Vermouth Cassis, then a couple of martinis, proper ones, gin, stirred and with three olives, and maybe finish with a cosmopolitan.
Then dinner, a glass of red to wash it down, before a small dram and maybe a cigar.

Think you are over estimating the demographic - 4 Tennents Super and 25 Rothman Royals would be more accurate...(I worked part time in an off licence in my late teens, our top sellers include Steinberg Super which was the 99p own brand of Tennents - I remember the uproar when they cut Royals down to 24 too!

I remember my friend's mum used to smoke Consulates. Horrible things*. I never did get the point - just like inhaling a polo mint.

*Which applies to all cigarettes obviously, but I didn't see it that way at the time.
 
My mate used to smoke menthol optionals, they were normal fags unless you squeezed the filter and released the menthol, I remember thinking that was quite clever.
