Klopp seems like a decent manager who may eventually come good if given time, but there's a tendency in the media (and to an extent, in Liverpool fans - though I know a fair few of them that are starting to turn cynical at this stage) to hail every new manager as The Messiah who will instantly lead them back to the top. There was a vague idea that he would arrive, click his fingers and immediately every player in the squad would be possessed by the spirit of Emlyn Hughes and Ian Rush (carrying the European Cup between them, like a faded late 70s polaroid). It was never going to happen.

But I still think - chastened by the defeat against Man United - they'll put on a rare solid performance at Norwich. So it's Liverpool for me this week.
