^^ i.e. he just wants the money money money

Bayern want to offload his massive wages

i.e. Not a Spurs player

We (should) want cheap/reasonable wages at <26yrs so there is a sell-on fee.
I agree. Liked him a lot as a player before, not watched him much at all in recent years. But 29, had some injury problems, massive wages. Not sure that's where we should be looking unless a really favourable deal can be made.

Has won and will win again are different things - if I was looking for a new club to join a side that flirted with relegation is not an obvious destination for future success
But a club in the CL who just won a major trophy is a huge attraction
It can all be flopped
In reality be just want a big pay day

There's certainly a selling point with CL football & the cup win behind us, but beyond the surface there's reason to be cautious.

As you say money would be the main driving force regardless

The fact he is considering Galatasaray and not us shows that it is 100% about money.
Perhaps. Alternatively (or additionally) he too knows that he's 29, has had his injuries, lost a bit of pace and won't thrive in the PL - particularly if being a regular starter for a high pressing team.
