It's used as flavouring really. Its really strong, like 48% proof or around that. You don't need much, maybe two drops. Its like adding salt and pepper to food, it just enhanced the flavours
Oh and it should be shaken with ice and strained not served with ice.
Sure, you could add egg whites or shake with ice, but thats how everyone does it. Having it over crushed ice is definitely the best (I think) and its so refreshing.
