Leather briefcase/laptop bag

P.D.

Paul Stalteri
Anyone got any recommendations of decent places to buy one from? I'm not very up to date on my leather goods. I'm guessing there must be some decent smaller retailers out there.

Ideally I'd like this if money was no object but don't want to spend too much though it might come down in the sale

This is nice and probably a bit more realistic in terms of pricing

For cheaper options maybe

I just got this one in brown to replace the previous one I had that was much more "laptop bag"-like. Lucky I knew somebody going to India which made it dead easy to source. I got a bit bored with the more traditional style laptop bags.

If I'd had the money, a Dunhill or Ferragamo one would've been great, but I didn't want to spend several hundred quid on one!

Couple of alternatives if this style is one you like - Knomo, or try one of the outlets at Bicester Village. Coach, Dunhill, Ferragamo are all there, but dunno if they stock laptop bags.

Tumi will last you forever

Do you have one then?

I would suggest Dunhill or Mont Blanc bags

Dunhill my fave though.

I do really want a Mont Blanc, decided if I get promoted next year I will treat myself to one. You can get them at £500 - £650 at full price so in sale can probably find some good deals. The Dunhill ones are way beyond that though but they are nice. Will have to investigate.

That's nice, sourcing from India isn't a problem as that's my background. Will pay a visit to Bicester Village and see what's cracking there in the new year. Never heard of Ferragamo but they have some nice stuff on their site but again like Dunhill it's pricey.

Thanks for the Knomo tip, not quite my thing but some nice designs, good price too.

Coach mate
Check their chop out in New Bond St.
American company, their website's based in the US...
Absolute quality.
I have a couple of their bags (laptop messenger and an overnight duffel), both are 6-7 years old and both are in absolutely mint condition. I use the laptop all the time...it will last for life.

By the way, spend the money. Better to have something which will last for life than something mid-range which craps out. Quality costs.
