I don't think he's well at the moment. Not only have they not put up his predictions yet, but he had this to say about Liverpool:

"I think they are looking at fifth or sixth unless they can make a couple more top-quality signings. They are desperate for a left-back, for starters. Having no European football will help Jurgen Klopp because he will have more time to prepare his players to play his pressing style, but I think a top-four place is 50-50 at best. If Daniel Sturridge has more injury problems then, as things stand, I don't think he has another regular goalscorer without him."

Tough for Tottenham or can they challenge again?

Last season not one of the 30 BBC experts asked backed Tottenham to make the top four - they finished third. Only two people think they will improve on that showing this year, including Chris Waddle, who picks them to be champions, and only three think they can repeat it. In total, 22 out of the 33 people asked say Spurs will finish lower than fourth.

Chris Waddle: A lot of people associate me with Spurs because I played there and will be thinking I am just favouring my old club but I think they will be stronger for what happened last season. They came very close and just blew up at the end but they have a lot of young players who will have learned a lot from that and will also be hungry to make amends, not just for missing out on the title but also finishing below Arsenal.

I know City have got Guardiola and United have got Mourinho but they are both at new clubs - at Spurs, Mauricio Pochettino has got a settled squad who have played under him for two seasons already.

Jermaine Jenas: What they have in their favour is that they will hit the ground running. Pochettino is not going to change the way he plays and everyone at the club buys into it and the players love playing that way.

Chris Sutton: They were a breath of fresh air last season but it is a big ask for them to repeat their success, mainly because of what the other top sides have done. I cannot see them finishing above City, United and Chelsea again, but I still put them in the top six - I have room for them there.

John Hartson: I might be doing them an injustice to put them fifth but there will be a lot more pressure on them this season and, along with having to cope with the Champions League, that will not help. You know what fans are like - they get a bit of success and expectancy level goes through the roof. It is the same with West Ham, who finished seventh last season - it will be very hard for them to repeat that, let alone improve on it.​

No sign of Twuntery being a weekly feature, they're pushing their own predictor game, so perhaps he has got fed up with being ridiculed.

Everton v Tottenham - Saturday, 3pm
I have played at Everton enough times to know this is a tricky first game for Tottenham. It's a difficult place to play, especially on the opening day, and I like Ronald Koeman's business so far - selling John Stones for £47.5m and buying Ashley Williams for £12m, I like that.

For Spurs, it depends if there is a hangover from Euro 2016 for players like Harry Kane and Dele Alli. Tottenham have a team already but I feel they need to add more to their squad because they're a bit light.

I don't think they've done enough yet to go on and win the Premier League.

Why does everybody relate our players to an "England hangover"? Surely it will be the same for so many other clubs including Leicester!!??

Because we had more players representing England, and playing in the first team, than any other club. Therefore, it's more likely that England's abject failure will affect at least one of those players..or that's the thinking.

I'd hope instead that they would be fired up and have the attitude of players wanting to prove something. Failing in the way that they did, firstly at Saudi Sportswashing Machine, and then with England* will hopefully leave them wanting to bounce back and full of pure intensity and passion.
 
Tottenham v Crystal Palace
Tottenham did not start well but came back to draw at Everton, while Crystal Palace could not score at home and were beaten by West Brom.

Tottenham are without injured goalkeeper Hugo Lloris but I do not see that being a problem here while the Eagles are seeking a new striker.

It looks like they will get Liverpool's Christian Benteke or the Baggies' Saido Berahino. Who would I take? Well, the way Palace play, it would probably be Benteke, who is close to joining them after the Eagles agreed to pay £27m for the player.

Tottenham v Liverpool (12:30 BST)
This is an interesting one. Going forward, Tottenham have not really started firing properly yet but they have still shown why they are very hard to beat.

Mauricio Pochettino's teams always protect their back four and summer signing Victor Wanyama does that job very well because he covers so much ground.

I don't think Liverpool's defeat by Burnley will knock their confidence, but the way that game went for them could happen a lot this season, especially against teams from the bottom half of the Premier League.

The way the Reds are set up and with the players they have got, I think they are going to win quite a few games easily but, when teams score against them first, it is going to be difficult for them.

Burnley were very rigid, and very well organised and defended very deep. Although Liverpool have lots players that can give them options up front, they are all quite similar and do not allow them to mix up their style of play when they are chasing a game.
