Kyle Walker

Tottenham and Emirates Marketing Project are thought to be still about £10million apart in transfer negotiations for Kyle Walker.

The 27-year-old England right-back wants to leave Spurs, who value him at about £50m, and could at least double his £70,000-a-week wages by moving to the Etihad.

City have pursued Walker for months, yet at this stage they have bid no higher than £40m.

That has left Walker, who is due to return for pre-season training in the coming days, uncertain about his future.

City’s need for a right-back has become even more urgent now Dani Alves has chosen to move to Paris Saint-Germain.

City were confident of signing the Brazilian after he agreed to tear up his contract at Juventus, especially as he had worked with Pep Guardiola at Barcelona.

City are still likely to get Walker, but it may take until close the end of the transfer window to complete a deal.

Their forward Kelechi Iheanacho is available for transfer but a cash‑plus‑player exchange deal is unlikely.

Levy should really set a cut off date. If Walker is to go then it should be soon, else we ask him to carry on seeing out his contract.

Just read some fake news that we are in for Sancho too .... Iaenacho + Sancho + 40mil ... that's a fair levy deal
