Giroud will have plenty of suitors. He just needs to pick a new CL bench to sit on in a different country.
My point is there are a few teams who would like a number 9, I’m not sure CL is as important as wages to a lot of players and there aren’t many available, let alone in January. I hope you’re right and we are in a strong position to negotiate.
For arguments sake who would be your plan b for this role, should Milan not blink?

The players we have been linked with I have never heard of other than Werner which ain’t gonna happen
 
As I was browsing the paper this morning on the way to work I noticed that Leeds had signed France under 21 striker Jean Kevin Augustin from Leipzig on loan with a view to permanent deal in the summer. Surprised a PL team didn't get involved on that one!

Which is why I think we aren’t the ones holding the aces here..still Levy does seem to be capable of taking a pot with 72 unsuited!

Tried and failed? Really? Oh how the mighty have fallen! o_O

I must confess that I haven't seen a single minute of Piatek but I do think we might be missing a trick in not having a pop for either of the strikers at the Glasgow clubs. I think both would take to PL football with no problem at all, are at good ages, would jump at the chance to at least double their wage and could be secured for 'reasonable' fees.

Only really know of the head case at Rangers.... very good player on his day
 
I really don't want this geezer. He's about as effective as a chocolate fireman. Much rather we go for Willian José.
