Not getting my hopes up on him joining but we do need a player that can control the ball while driving towards goal. About time we got a player to make other defences worry about moving forward. On a side note how about taking the 2018 world cup away from Russia over the Ukraine situation. I'm sure we could make a fist of it?

After a summer where 7 highly rated signings that seemed very big coups at the time haven't pulled up any trees whatsoever i wouldnt get your hopes up even if he did sign

Obviously we're disappointed that not one of those players has turned out to be a Bale. But it was never really going to happen after one season. I think Lamela is going to be a hit next season, he'd have had time to adjust by then and the pressure will be off him a bit. Personally, I think that Paulinho, Eriksen and Chiriches have been good. Soldado is a class striker, he just hasn't had the service. Having Eriksen at CAM is our best bet to get the most out of him. We just need Lamela to find his form who can cut inside (similar to what Konoplyanka does) and he'll have an abundance of service. Paulinho and Sandro in behind are rocks, they may make the odd mistake but in time I'm sure they'll get even better. Things aren't that bad at WHL contrary to popular belief.
