I liked what I saw - thought he could be a long term heir to Verts.
Sad he's got to a brick club like Stoke - I was hoping he'd end up at Palace.
Hope the long distance relationship/overnight trips up to the Potteries doesn't disrupt Son's form too much
He was unlucky to have two of the best CB's in the league in front of him. Anywhere else and he would have had plenty of minutes.Bit sad that he never really got a solid run to prove himself in the side. He has potential, and he would have ironed out the kinks in his game with playing time - which we unfortunately couldn't (or wouldn't) give him.
Auf wiedersehen, Kevin. The very best of luck at Stoke, and thanks for your efforts at Spurs.

This is the crux, he was never going to replace the best pairing in the Prem ( Jan and Toby) and if he was ever going to prove what a good player he may be he had to play games elsewhere, good luck to him.
Not entirely true - he was also behind Dier in Poch's pecking order.
One of the two ( Toby or Jan) would have had to be left out if Wimmer was going to be a regular, that was not going to happen.
Or Dier when we were playing 3 at the back or Tobi or Jan were injured (more than 20 PL games I'd wager).
He could have had a decent amount of starts if Poch didn't prefer Dier to him.
