Keep or get rid

The squad is good. Werner and Forster are the only two I don't rate. The rest just need coaching and time to mature.
How many years have Davis, Kulu, Romero, Son, been at the club? This is Kulu's 3rd manager and after a good start, he has only had a good game here and there really.

Richy is an injury liability, Werner can't score for toffee, Forster is too old and slow.

WE need to be ruthless players. They either perform consistently or go.

I'd continue the overhaul and get rid of ange, porro, romero, davies, maddison, richy, werner , sess and forster. I'd keep son as an impact player and notbtwo games a week.

Porro, romoero, richy and maddison would fetch good prices, hopefully helps us fund the other four.

Romero has to go, very overrated on here. Maddison is brick, Son is brick now. Forster is shocking.
Nail meet head
Players who have excelled in counter attacking football or a CB who actually isn’t great at some defensive basics (but bloody good with the ball)

What no one has sussed out yet, is this ‘journey’ is providing the richest of educations for Ryan Mason; who will go onto to eclipse the great Billy Nic to lead us to glory. You heard it here first 😅

This season is looking very strange. Even though we're losing half of our games, and blow hot and cold from one minute to the other, we're still only 3 points off 3rd!
What's annoying is that we should have had 6 points more based on games we should have/deserved to win/draw but didn't.

I wouldn't be so drastic with the squad. Forster and Werner are definite no. If someone comes with a good offer for Romero, let him go. Same with Richarlison. The rest I'd keep, and try to bring in players that can challenge them.
Which is what we are doing. Let's see what happens in January.

Agree with all of this
We can’t carry players who for whatever reason can’t stay fit
We also can’t carry players who possibly think they schools be somewhere better
I wouldn’t have anyone in the squad over the age of 30 unless they were world class

I see a lot of posts from people suggesting the Ange be got rid of, but very little in way of criticism against the actual players on the pitch. So I figured I'd give my thoughts on our players and whether I believe they're good enough, or we should look for replacements.

Vicario - get rid. Good shot-stopper but so incredibly weak with anything crossed in.

Porro - keep. Has been one of our best performers over past two seasons. Not great defensively, but offers a lot going forward.
Romero - get rid. If Real Madrid put a bid in, I'd bite their hand off. I think he's hugely over-rated. Switches off constantly.
VdV - keep. Sheer pace helps out massively in the way we play, and as seen before can be a great outlet going forward.
Dragusin - get rid. I just don't think he is a good central defender. Very error prone.
Udogie - keep. A tricky one, as I think defensively he is very poor. But great at going forward.
Davies - keep. Offers cover across a few positions.
Spence - keep. Would actually like to see him used more.
Gray - keep. Clearly talented and will grow into a great player IMO.

Bissouma - keep. He's a strange one, blows hot and cold.
Bentancur - keep. Looks to be getting back to his best.
Sarr - keep. An absolute engine that is everywhere, and offers great drive.
Kulu - keep. Much prefer him playing centrally than on the right where he is so easy to defend against.
Maddison - get rid. Luxury player who looks great when the team are on top and doing well, but goes missing too often in the more difficult games.
Bergval - keep go out on loan. Looked very good initially, but has really dropped off. Needs a confidence boost.

Richarlison - get rid. Simply not good enough, and can't stay fit.
Son - get rid. Has lost that burst of pace and often seems to slow play down. A bloody shame as I love the bloke.
Werner - get rid. How many goals has he cost us with his poor finishing? Great pace, and occasionally puts a good cross in but we need more.
Johnson - get rid. I don't get the guy. He often seems disinterested, or that he's hiding. Plus, he doesn't like to get stuck in an constantly backs out of challenges.
Solanke - keep. Has shown his worth recently, and I think with better players around him would really shine.
What does get rid mean? As a starter or out of the club entirely?

Mason is part of the problem... He needs to go and experience things elsewhere.

I have no idea if he is or not but I think Ange has such a specific style he wants to play that it's weird he picks up random coaches whether he goes. Wouldn't he be better served having some crack team of coaches that are well versed in Ange ball who follow him from club to club wherever he goes, who know his style and what he needs to drill into the players from day one?

He doesn't do that though... He said he'll work with what has at the club, doesn't need to bring people in IIRC.

I think we generally have a good group of players here and the setup is unfairly exposing them
I think we have a nucleus but have gaps in depth still
We don’t have any okayed who stands out as a leader although recently I’ve seen Vicario and Kulu take on the role well
Games like today highlight to me the lack of leadership in key roles
