The juicer we've got will do wheatgrass so I might order some seed and give it a whirl. Trying Spirulina too. Wouldn't you be better of whacking the wheatgrass powder into your juice to better mask the flavour?
It ruins a nice juice taste wise if you do that !!!
Id rather shot it I think
Might be a stupid question but what's do these look like once you've made 'em? Are they kinda thick and gloopy like smoothies or just like any other juice?
Never clean your teeth right after drinking fruit juice. The acid, that has temporarily weakened your enamel, will still be present in your mouth and you'll be distributing the acid around your mouth with your brush and further damaging your teeth.
You need to give your body's natural defence, saliva, a chance to fight back against the acid. Give it 45 minutes + before you touch the brush.
As for juicers, I'm wanting to get one. May get one just after Christmas.
Do you guys have the shake instead of a meal or in addition?
Have you simply tried eating an Apple/ Watermelon / Carnot / Blueberry etc? A fruit bowl at work is a good one. When bored or peckish - which for me is often - you can snack on plumbs, bananas, apples etc
Home made soups are a winner - fill you up and easy to make. Chuck veg in a pot, add flavour, stock, water and cook for 20 mins (simmer don't boil) and blend. You can add milk, or cream fresh, or cheese. Croutons etc. Fresh fruit added to ice cream for desert is also a nice way to eat fruit. Crush a biscuit or nuts to add texture.
I am tempted by this juicing thing. Would it be a fad or long long term?
Loads of people said to me Id only do it for a week and get fed up but I feel fantastic, best I've felt in such a longtime, so much energy, skin is great and the main thing for me, my tummy is amazing and having had crohn's I can tell you there has not been too many days in the last 20 years when I've been able to say that
