Wouldn't work, you see it when he's short of just a couple of pieces.
Not bricking on Pep in anyway, but people aren't good/great managers in all scenarios, they are good in specific scenarios, Pep is brilliant in a system team with more quality/spend than others, Ancelotti is probably the best at getting egos to work together, Jose at his best mastered the adjust your game to the opponent (always pragmatic)

Genuinely, who does Jose think he is? Such a cowardly thing to to. Would never stand face to face with another man and be physically aggressive. Would end up flat on his back 9 times out of 10. He's very brave in front of TV cameras when loads of people will jump in and stop it. Always has been.
The reason Jose did it was because he knew that Buruk wasn't a fighter. Hence the other guy's response.
