Chelsea will be another tough one!
But it looks like we are improving when it comes to tough.
I think you'll be sorely disappointed come January. Hope I'm wrong.
chelsea have more pressure on them for that game than us
Their form right now is woeful
Have to say there is no excuse for the new ground not to rock for this game
his trousers in that rain are proper filthy now as well
Interested to see what he does with a week and some rest for the players.
Tough game today, but the defending as a unit is improving, as is our press (in first 15 to 20 minutes) and our counters.
4th in a month would be some achievement
Is hat rain the one just before or after umbrella rain?his trousers in hat rain are proper filthy now as well
Surely Jose must have looked at this team and think to himself, I just need to do my normal, sure up the defensive tactics, be better at set pieces and get one or two players going and ill have a good team here. IT seems to be working so far.
good interview that, very polished, very respectful and an honest assessment.
A full week to prepare for Chelsea...if he can get a win there that will be impressive. They should be under some pressure for the first time under Lampard and hopefully they will come at us and get picked off on the counter.
What Im enjoying is how deliberate things are.
Clearly we are a work in progress, and have wobbles in every game, but I also think you can see clear tactical choices in every match - designed to give us an advantage.
I was saying last week with Burnley, we played deliberately in areas they dont like to defend - and defend areas effectively where they like to play.
I thought similar of Wolves yesterday. While arguably they were dominant, they were really restricted to speculative chances and very few clear cut. While we werent at our best, at all, we were in the game at the end and in a frame of mind to actually go and win it.
I think this comes directly from Mourinho, its him to a T.
And, I think, how good can we get once he has us properly tuned up and purring?
I think they are already under a bit of pressure.
We can probably trust Mourinho to turn the screw.
