I'd sort of stepped back for a few days and even checked the official website yesterday to see if anything had happened. Tonight, it finally lands.
Do we finally have a manager who is going to build a great team from the back? I always thought Pep had a great defence and then he went and bought another defender. It's sort of the same as what Klopp did with midfielders. It's these players that get you through tough seasons.

Can you share some of that excitement with mr miserable above?
The nepo kids and suits are certainly acting a bit quicker than i expected, which is a pleasant surprise. I think he is a good signing, net transfer cost will probably (hopefully) be minimal from the expected Romero sale. Signing players with prem experience is what we need to get back to the dizzy heights of mid-table.

Clearly De Zerbi wanted us to sign him and sometimes you have to pay that bit extra for the right player. We needed to back De Zerbi and show him full support.
Ultimately this was a price that clearly we were happy paying. And if that’s true then it’s within the bracket of acceptability and so limited over spend.
I think he can be very good for us and assuming that Romero is sold, as many have speculated, then we will have VH and VDV as our first choice centre back pairing.

Im struggling to get excited about this. Our biggest problem was creating goals and someone to put them in. So we go and Sign three defenders including Two Center Backs when we already have 4 on the books and two coming back from loans. Not including the 5 full backs we now have and Davies.
