Where are the interviews?
‘Now Son, we are Gooners for life. Remember that’.
Yeah sorry GB but he comes pretty mature, being a father was probably the making of him.Brilliant first interview
Love his enthusiasm and the way he speaks
Reading too much into it to think that quote is to address the knuckle scraping minority still raging about those prehistoric tweets?

I like how Ange told him, with or without you this team is going to play some great football. Pretty much said if you’re not interested I don’t care and we will move on.

Interesting interview. Always spoke about Tottenham or Spurs, rather than "us" and "we" etc.
Defoe told me he was a west ham fanInteresting interview. Always spoke about Tottenham or Spurs, rather than "us" and "we" etc.
Seems a very focused and determined to be a really good employee and help us win matches.
His old tweets are no secret - and very few football fans haven't made similar - so I have a huge amount of respect for the way he conducted the interview, it has integrity.
Hopefully the same will happen with him as with Defoe. Defoe was an Arsenal fan; no question he has a real love for us too. (hey, maybe football tribalism is just a bit pathetic?!)
Like Bergkamp was a Hoddle fan, not SpursDefoe told me he was a west ham fan
But he idolised Ian Wright

This could be a major, and very interesting, discussion.
I personally think that if we denounce football tribalism and marginalize it/force it into redundancy, we will be stripping the game of one of its great, great assets, as well as denying a core element of humanity. I think I know what you’re getting at, and there needs to be balance i.e. being able to shake hands, understand we’re all human, have friends who support other teams, etc. Very very important. But equally, the energy of traveling to matches, especially away games, congregating with your fellow supporters and getting behind the team for an afternoon is absolutely tribal.
