True, but I think he was implying there was still someone else to come in.
It's actually a shame Veljkovic was injured/unused on his loans so much last season, it's hard to tell how good he might be. I remember when Caulker was player of the year almost everywhere he went on loan and then even when he became a full on squad member after a solid year loan in the PL we still found it he was just slightly short of what we needed*. Makes me question how anyone can say a youth player is good enough until they get a chance like Bentaleb and Mason have

Truth in Benteke with Ade land, or another player plus cash, they also want Carroll. Kono is not dead but unlikely. Had Salvio not had an injury I think he would have been our player. Not nailed on Yedlin will go out on loan. Preseason will determine as with other players. Belgium 21 year old winger there is truth who plays for Monaco. Will we pay the figures Monaco wants is in question, and no bids have been made, contrary to reports. We have inquired about Turan but though I wish it happened cannot see it myself.

Kind of hard to follow what he actually has said given all the wrist slitting over on SC, but plan A is now apparently someone he has dismissed in the past. Schneiderlin and Alderweireld not happening. Kramer not Plan A. Players he has dismissed: Linetty, Rabiot, McCarthy, Shelvey, Konoplyanka, Cabaye and probably a few others.
JJ: Apologies but plan A wasn't TA as that one is complicated Plan A for midfield is someone who I've previously dismissed sorry
JJ: Poch is hopefully getting players he wants & Daniel is backing him. They just aren't who people think they are.
trix: If Rabiot has become available then he without doubt will have shot to the top of the pile. We really pushed for him in January but PSG didn't want to play ball at all. If his publicly asking for a transfer has changed things, then I think we'd be all over it without question.

and was just using the Spurs interest simply to get a better deal from Monaco
Monaco made it absolutely clear he was not for sale this window.
It obviously wouldn't be a straight swap - but Benteke wants out and we have a forward who would be available for free and has previously performed well for their manager, as a make-weight in any potential deal it makes a huge amount of sense

Really hope it's neither . Been Irish I seen bit of McCarthy and past year or even longer gone off boil big time , goes missing in games and really hope we don't go for him .. He will not a difference IMO n not much better than what we have .. Same goes with shelvey
