Yes let hire Ange, the one who bad us finishing 17th last season and would have relegated us if he had a few more games spare, great idea.
I agree Ange is not the answer but who is? Easier to shout people down then having a solution.

For me, it’s either Redknapp or left field choice Ragnick, as he actually identified all the issues with the setup at United and if they had of listened to him it would have not taken as long to sort things out. Solskjaer also did reasonably well at United, but I think that’s something that would only work due to his history at the club, but maybe if it was talent it’s an option.

I think long term Alonso is the answer, in terms of style and point to prove and history of winning when the underdog

You’d have hoped that the Spurs management team would have lined someone up before pulling the trigger.

But after selling Johnson and leaving the squad threadbare you just don’t know.

There aren’t many names who would a. Take us on in this state without many first team players and b. Are proven managers who can quickly galvanise a side and grind out results.

Noted, and I appreciate that is true. But - too much at the moment is dependent on intangibles. It isn't about records anymore. Simply put, you need a manager that will put bums in seats, that will sing to support the team, and you need someone who can make the players run their hearts out and fight to survive.

Poch achieves both of the above. Nobody else really does unless we shock the world and appoint Xabi Alonso, Zidane, or someone who enjoys respect by virtue of their record.

We need 11 points in 12 games - even a totally average Poch start, should get us those, I think.

Just the atmosphere of Poch arriving would likely guarantee us 12 points from our next 4 home games. The place will be rocking like it hasn't since the first weeks it opened back in 2019.

A lot of the online stuff already is, the trophy has absolutely blinded everyone to the league form.

Honestly, thank him for the trophy and be pleased he went out on a high.
Everyone has forgotten the videos of him rowing with fans, slating the fans in press conferences and all of the booing. I've seen quite a few social media "fans" who have said about bringing Sherwood in with Redknapp that just shows what type of "fan" they are.

Can't understand the number of people clamouring for Robbie Keane. I loved Keane as a player and he's had a decent start in management. But he's managed in Israel and Hungary. The standard is not great. It's 10 million miles from the PL in terms of standard, scrutiny and pressure (given the situation we are in). We've got to try and reduce risk here with this appointment - Robbie Keane is a massive, massive risk. Does anyone even know if he plays a style that'll work for us? I think people are getting carried away with what Carrick has done at United - totally different situation, characters and experience.

I'm stumped on who I want so I know I'm guilty of rubbishing a candidate and offering no solutions. Well, it'd be Klopp but that's not realistic.

This is huge for us. We are deep in the brick. We need someone with relatively recent experience, who commands respect and who can get players pulling in the same direction. The best I can realistically come up with is Redknapp with Mason/Heitinga. Lot of risk in there too.
