Must look bad viewing for Chelsea fans, they have no reason whatsoever as to why they didnt win the league, or finish in the top 2. DAT SPECIAL ONE.

Thanks Steve, very interesting reading.

You posted the tables for the past 5 or 6 seasons, Chelsea are always low down. Is it their training? Physios? They make sure to not buy injury prone players?

Wish I knew... maybe there is a correlation between Chavski' £billions allowing them to sign players with proven track records in their prime whilst we often have to take punts on those who are a bit flawed in some way; such as Woodgate, Gallas and van der Vaart with their various fitness issues.

Although this doctor, who used to work with the British Olympic team, could be the key as to why Chelsea' squad have been near the bottom of the injury table over the 5 years she's been there :-k

Meet Eva Carneiro, the Chelsea medic who is the busiest doctor in football | Mail Online

It's a shame that AVB couldn't bring her along as part of his staff to see if Dr Carneiro was able to work her magic on King, Sandro, Lamela, Capoue, Chiriches, Kaboul... At least it was an ex-Spur in Steven Caulker who was the only outfield player not to miss a single minute of action in the Premier League last season.

Id love the know the underlying problem behind the above stats, do we buy injury prone players, our medical staff are **** or were just unlucky ???

Hopefully this season we will buck the trend. Who knows what might have happened if we had only had half the injuries we have had in the last 5 seasons.
I know other teams can say the same, its just we are constantly up there near the top, but a few less injuries each season could be the difference from getting an extra point or 2 in certain games

I think bit of everything, we lost Rose for a few months which was just bad luck, Kaboul is the new King he will spend more time out injured then playing. Lamala injury is just plain weird. Capoue although I do like him he seems another injury prone player

Look how lucky LFC were this season with injuries

Playing fewer games than just about everyone else in the league probably helped, what with Liverpool having had no European fixtures plus getting knocked out of both domestic cups in the early rounds.

and they still couldnt win the league !!!!!

I wonder if anyone from Tottenham was there...

As reported by*Jan Ekstrand, a*Professor of Sports Medicine and the vice chairman of the UEFA Medical Committee, Mourinho told the audience that*team success is not possible without a shared philosophy between the manager and club doctors.
