Tonight's line up is quite possibly the worst England 1st 11 I've ever seen, and I saw some of the Sven teams.
I have some sympathy for Southgate.
He seems to be doing all the right things, unfortunately his predicament is like trying to put together a University Challenge team from the students at a special needs school.

Is it just me or does Henderson just always play an easy layoff then stand still like it's job done. Frozen on the spot.
To be fair, One minute he's tearing around closing down in their half but then when we have the ball he's like a spare man standing in centre mid like the kid who they felt sorry for so let him join in.

No it's not just you. Henderson might have played one forward pass the whole half he just shuffles from side to side and gives the ball back to the CBs.
It just goes to show how poor our 2nd XI is only Rashford has looked any good this half.

Lovely goal from Rashford. He is wasted at united. Would love to see Poch get his hands on him with us. He's got the ingredients to be an elite player. Could model his game on Ronaldo. He's potentially as good. Is he working as hard as he could be on his game or coasting at united?
No he does that and occasionally tries the Hollywood pass that 99/100 goes into touch.

Yes, it was much better than loads of games in the last 10 years.
Although the system is rather odd... Stones is sat at the back whilst Phil Jones lumbers down the right wing and breaks into the box with a mazy dribble... WTF?!!
You try standing in front of Jones and stopping him!
