Was interesting to see the clubs that ah. Spent a fortune have the least amount of players there

There were the two Chelsea centre backs who IMO won't step up at all and looked decent for this level but no more

Was their a pool player starting? None from city or united either I think

Says a lot that the two clubs that have had to play catch up financially had 6 players out there in that first 11
True, but city and Chelsea are in a different league at U18 level. Are they made up of foreign kids?

Yeah they have a lot actually considering

And don't forget they have been winning throphies between em for 3/4 years so they should have progressed

To be fair Patrick Roberts who City signed could have played in this tournament and he is one I wish we had signed

City are basically an assortment of players from all over, Chelsea to their credit are virtually entirely made up of local kids with most having been there from 10-11 years of age and younger. Obviously given they have no financial restraints or morals they can entice the best young talents away from other clubs but at least it's English kids they're focusing on, for the most part.

Where it all falls apart is the first team philosophy contradicts the youth policy, both spend huge on the pitch which means all the youth glory will stay on the training ground

I'm not being anti Arse, but the Ox has been rubbish tonight.

Dele average, isolated.

Sterling has offered some badly needed speed in attack

France are showing that you can afford to be average but still dangerous when you have speedy players going forward who can apply a bit of turbo to blow away the opposition. Top teams have that devastating burst of speed. It's something we at Spurs lack imo
