I agree, he has looked a lot better then he has for a while.
 
Before posting this I have touched wood, turned around three times, spat and thrown salt over my shoulder.

He’s improved massively this calendar year, looks confident, sharp and most of all, he’s learned to kick the ball, it regularly passes the half way line now and actually has some pace.
 
Never agreed with Lloris ( or any keeper) being made capt as (imo) there are to far away from most of the play. However i salute him tonight for calling out Son for being lazy. A capt should lead from the front and part of that job is having a go at any players who are not doing their job.

It is why I hold out hope (as I believe you do) that Dier will perhaps be our skipper one day sooner than later.

Didn't see any of the game, will watch it later, but fair play to him for having a go. One other thing I noticed, in the interview with the BBC, like Jose, he was quite aggressive/forceful in getting his point across. Not in an unpleasant way but like he was going to drive the narrative rather than allowing the BBC to do it. It may be the beginning of an attitude change for us because typically, we're too passive and allow the narrative to be written by others.

Yes I think the nice Jose mask has slipped now, perhaps rightly so. Last night had a few traits I’d expected to see earlier in his tenure, the treatment of Richarlison, players taking more responsibility quite a few time wasting / disruption opportunities (Sissoko refusing to stand behind the line for the free kick)and a one goal win with a clean sheet. It’s only baby steps though, Everton were awful, our goal was an own goal and we were awful in possession. It might work again against Bournemouth but I’m not sure we can turn over the ball as regularly against the Goons and get away with it, hoping a misplaced over confidence means we can kill them on the counter.

I know there are some who dislike what Jose stands for and do not want him here, however i hope we are begining to see his winners mentality ( he has the trophys to show that he has it) and it is begining to be taken up by the team.

Jose must be falling in love with La Celso....he's at it all the time....how many times does the camera catch La Celso giving an opposition player 'the look' :D
 
He’s been pretty flawless in the last few weeks. He had one dodgy moment today but he’s looking much more solid and more like the goalkeeper we had for his first 4-5 seasons here rather than the error prone version of the last 2-3 seasons.

Biggest win of the new coaching staff so far imo.
 
Statistically he was one of the best keepers anyway, his mistakes highlighted by fact they were so rare.

He was insanely good in the CL last year, off the charts.

His decline has never been as bad as people made out
