An extra £150m on top??
According to Swiss Ramble, as I understand it we actually had more money to spend on net transfers than everyone but Man U the season before last, because our wages were so low compared to our fellow English CL qualifiers:
Don’t know exactly what that figure would look like now - wages have increased but we progressed further in the CL; more stadium debt but higher revenue from being in our new stadium. But whatever the exact figure, I see no reason we couldn’t have a net spend of 50-100m+ this season. Obviously Levy hasn’t done that before, but presumably we’re in a different ball game now the stadium is built and we’ve taken out all the loans we need to. The Ndombele signing is an indication to me that indeed we are.
