Have We Got The Worst Atmosphere In The Country

Spurs have terrible fans. There's no other way about it. Expect perfection because then you can moan about everything. I think it's very likely I'll give up going to the stadium soon. It just isn't worth it. The only reason I go now is if there's something else lined up like a concert.

That's gonads ... the games changed people sat with pizzas on their laps watching the game are never going to create an atmosphere.. it's all about consumerism.. we pay a high price to be there and at the least expect to be entertained not flucking board to death and no passion and commitment.

Atmosphere was decent enough in the south before the game and arguably decent enough in the first half .

You serve up brick like today and expect me to sing my heart out whilst paying £100 a pop minimum to be there ... no

I don't drink anymore so it's not about a few with your pals catching up ...my 10yo has a st as well and he's lost interest in coming ... think I keep my st's out of addiction rather than enjoyment..

It's just not as fun many of my lot have been going for 30 odd years and never have we been so disenfranchised about home games .. the away games feel like all I have left .. think I'd happily sit on the sofa and watch most home games .

I don't think this is a us problem either many mates from other clubs my age feeling the same .

It's not the game we knew and the new youngsters are being priced out of going, so what's left are diehards, grumpy middle aged men or tourists (I don't just mean international fans but transients)

Ramble over .. that was flucking brick .. I'm taking a break till Fulham

Didn’t think the crowd were that bad today. There was literally nothing to get behind.

That said, the lad about 3 down from me has a new target for his abuse. After destroying Dier, Winks and Johnson, Xavi is now the object of his hatred. Crucified him throughout especially on the goal despite the fudge ups by other players which played a much bigger part.

Saw two lads taking selfies with about 5 minutes to go with their backs to play and smiling like macarons. I know we weren’t scoring in a month of Sundays but who the fudge does that?

It's not about today. Every game I go to costs me about the equivalent of a season ticket. At this point I'd rather watch it on tv as the stadium is dead unless we sing about Arsenal. There's nothing left to enjoy.

It's brick as a fan but probably just an experience or day out for them .. I guess it's their money they can do what they want with it but it's what the game has become ... look at internationals ... used to go England games when younger including a few tournaments... no flucking chance now . Meaningless soulless friendlys ... tournaments in three countries.. pricing a months mortgage payment... nah ... I've held back for a while but the old games gone ... the people are gone .. you'll get the odd game like scum /city ... but the last bastion of old football is an away end and that's about it (appreciate that's an increasingly closed shop as well)

One near me doing the same, even when he does something that is fine. Whilst Xavi didn’t have a good game I thought he was the only player in the team actually trying to get on the ball and make something happen. We were even worse, if that was actually possible today, after he went off.

Yeah I hear you. Costs me an arm and a leg too. Been to 3 this season and haven’t enjoyed one. I miss the next few for various reasons and will only get to Liverpool before the new year. While I’d go to the others if I could, I can’t say I’m too upset.

I binned off my young fellas game today to go. His game got rained off which took away some of the guilt. Have to say, right now, I get immeasurably more pleasure from watching him and his team than watching Spurs.

I get talking to a couple of Liverpool fans who I know only relatively recently at my son's football and they always talk or ask about Spurs. And any time they praise us, almost like a knee jerk reaction, I put us down ("I'm used to disappointment", "this won't last", "typical Spurs" etc.). Both of them have commented on it by saying Spurs fans are generally quite pessimistic/miserable.

I have a season ticket in the East Upper, I go to 12-15 games a season and I'll join in with some of the singing albeit I'll never be accused of being an ultra. I'll never boo a player or the team but if I'm typical of a lot of Spurs fans (and not even the worst ones), we do seem to be an odd bunch.

Has a team had as many near misses as us? Genuine question. I feel there is baggage because we have fallen short in good positions.

I went to Burnley, which was okay I guess. Then Aston Villa which was crap, but I got to see the mighty Helloween at Hammersmith the next day. Going again to Brentford and Slavia. At least we've got some wrestling lined up on the Sunday.
