Harry Kane MBE

It was getting boring weeks ago:D

Have to credit the media for continuously sensationalising a story day after day when in reality very little has changed over the past couple of months. Kane wants to leave, City have bid rejected, Kane plays up and still wants to leave, City refuse to pay up asking price. How they’ve managed to drag out hundreds of articles based on that I’ll never know, but fair play to them - special shout out to Kane and his PR team of course…..

I'll try to watch Simon Jordan's Talksport section if it gets put up on Youtube later today, as he's due on the station this morning and has had a lot of sensible stuff to say about all this - especially when up against former players like Danny Murphy, Martin Keown or Darren Bent.

If it wasn't for that antisemite idiot, we'd still be able to watch it live.

I hate media headlines... ‘is time running out for City to buy Kane?’..well of course it is, time is literally running out as we are getting nearer by the minute go the transfer window closing. It’s irrelevant whether City get him or not, time is and always will be running out.

If that's the case, then I' not sure the new PR is doing much better based on that Telegraph article.
Plus you wouldn't have a PR firm carrying out negotiations would you? Agent, PR, Commercial - all different aspects of managing a player. They might all be under one umbrella organisation, but that doesn't sound like the case here.
Unless the 'negotiations' are to help Kane regain his unblemished reputation.

Agreed. He needs to fire this one and hire a new one.

I dont see that this morning's articles either help Kane get the move to Emirates Marketing Project nor to restore his reputation

Amen to all of that. I don’t see how hard it is for him to understand that the vast majority of us understand his desire to want to go, BUT… it HAS to be at a fair price from a club that undoubtedly can afford him. Jeez…

I think he's just winding up the fan base even more tbh, same gentleman's agreement gonads, same the club said he could have a further week off and the fans are wrong to be upset gonads. blah blah blah.

It's funny to think back before the season kicked off and review all the media narratives - City were fully expected to rock up at MegaLane, deliver a sound thrashing and leave with three points, Harry Kane and Spurs in a world of misery.

They've got fcuk all instead and left Spurs and their fans feeling very good about the new manager, the clear quality that remains throughout the squad and, overall, the season's prospects - with or without Kane.

Never mind the silly business with Kane's agents. City have messed things up for themselves nicely and now face the possibility of not getting Kane or a proper striker and have to stifle the laughter around the rumours that Cristiano Ronaldo is looking to join them. Can you imagine that flouncer trying to cope with the more physical playing standards the refs are clearly allowing? Hard to imagine a better start to the season.

I'm sure he does understand that - he just wants City to stump up the money.

I think these articles planted by his PR person aim to put pressure on both sides - Levy to move downwards, which he won't, and City to continue to move upwards (ie would City's fans want to see that they're quibbling over 'just' a remaining £25m and see them missing out on a top CF when they're crying out for one?)

I've been dipping into the Blue Moon forum on and off - very entertaining btw, a mixture of panic at not having a striker and absolute entitlement re the audacity of Levy not to fold at the mere name of City - but someone who appears to be taken as ITK said City are sending a delegation to London tomorrow, and then clarified that it's to meet with Kane's camp rather than the club. It will be interesting to see what rumours are flying around after tomorrow.
I didn't really expect that Kane would play a part on Thursday, but if he's not sold by the weekend, then he's got to be in the squad for Sunday?

Not to be pedantic, but I will be as I'm bored, that's still £3.50 even for your European friends as it's Sterling. Localisation.
You clearly missed all the kerfuffle the other day then.

There were commas and decimal points all over the place. Absolute anarchy.
