Harry Kane MBE

We thought we had everything with Kane when he was winning golden boot after golden boot. Then we realised he was not only great at scoring goals, but was a fantastic passer of the ball. Now we watch him and he does all those things but he drops deep, he holds up play, he wins fouls, he plays in others, he's got a definite dirty streak, he defends like a maniac - he's just all round sublime, absolutely sublime.

Earlier he was 5/1 to win PFA Player of the season. A few weeks back that was in the 20+ zone. I think it’s inevitable if he continues as he is. Best performances in the league this season by a mile
 
In the last 5 mins when he was bursting forward down the left flank, I feared he was gonna pop something. He was fidging and grimbling as he powered up to full flench, then he jammed on the anchors and layed it off. We seriously need this guy to play every game, what a man, what a player.

He is already a Spurs legend, but if he keeps this going, he could potentially be the all time greatest.

Absolutely, it looked nailed on his hammy was about to go. His match fitness is right up there at the moment. Rest him for Europa games if possible and let him lose once a week on the premier league teams. If he stays fit all season, we have a genuine chance of competing for the league.

It’s a stupid reason to talk him down and there’s no doubt he would have won trophies if he had played for any other big 6 club in the last 6 years. But, the really best players turn up in the big games and win those crunch games for their clubs. Kane hasn’t had many of those to prove himself in but trophies do matter IMO. On form he’s the best CF in the world but it’s hard to argue against Messi and Lewandowski’s goals record and trophy haul.

I can throw in the name of many many players who aren’t fit lace Kane’s boots that have won a LOT of trophies. Cup football and being a bit part player in an successful team can do that

I agree to a point and football is a team game, Kane can’t control how well his teammates play. But I do think he needs to win a title at least to be considered better than some of his peers. I hate Thierry Henry but I can’t deny he was one of the best PL players ever. But he never scored in a final in his entire career, or a semi final. And he played in lots of them for the Arse, Barca and France. I think trophies are the final piece of the puzzle for Kane. We’ve finally got the players around him and the manager to help share the load and have the right mentality.

The guy wants trophies
We want trophies
It will happen IMO although maybe not the league but we will win a cup this season IMO. We have a man in charge who can get us over the line there. It’s why every player is brought into the new plan, especially Kane
