Harry Kane MBE

Very different stages of their careers.... Cash is 22, Forest’s best player, the best RB in the championship and ready for a PL move. Clarke was 17 and had only made a handful of appearances for Leeds.
Don’t disagree
But we clearly brought him for a reason and im not against buying from the championship ... I think it’s better to buy from there than most leagues TBH

Barely played since having a fit and dont ghink he has recovered mentally from that. Got a lot of promise.
No idea
Just think players get written off very quickly by fans for no reason
Similarly big money signings are deemed to be amazing by default
The championship is a real breeding ground for talent and I believe you could out together a side form that division if you could pick the best players who would give any prem side a real run for their money. Probably lacking a quality striker but that’s natural for that level...

I gave Kane some stick for his game against Utd ( thought he should have been subbed) but he looked sharp last night and lets all hope he ends the season on a goal scoring run.

You were right, he was utterly dogbrick against United. Shockingly bad. But he looked to be coming back last night to close to his best and Harry would always be the first name on the team sheet for me.

He's 26 and some of our fans don't seem too bothered if we were to sell him. Personally, I'd consider it a catastrophe if we let him go. Terrific player, terrific lad and terrific attitude.

Would agree with all of that, to be honest i think Kane will only go IF he decides he wants too. As you say he is only 26 but he does seem to get a lot of injurys ( and IF that continues) he may decide to look at somewhere that will give him a better chance of winning things ( and i can not blame him IF he decides that). I guess it will depend on how we progress as a club going forward.

Stirring it up, obviously. But I think that if winning trophies is important to Kane he will, and should, leave. This is not the first time Spurs have gone backwards when a tad less tightness from Levy would have moved us forwards (the previous time recently being the window when we got Nelsen and Saha on free transfers). We have slipped (sorry Stevie G) so far behind the top four in such a short time it's bonkers. And given the lack of revenue from COVID Levy will be spending even less.

Seen two articles recently talking about how he's contract is inventive based, basically his minutes on the pitch count towards his salary.

Would explain why he's rarely subbed/always starts etc.
I've NEVER heard of a contract that involves minutes on the pitch. Also,
1. Kane does not handle substitutions
2. I'm pretty sure Mourinho does not care much about anyone's salary.

It’s Barry Glendenning isn’t it?
He hates Mourinho so I don’t need to read it
I reckon it will say look at his peers and look at how we play

If he really wants to fill a trophy cabinet he will have to leave, we STILL have too many players here who do not have the winners mentality.
