I disagree, unless he's signed a new deal that i've missed, they can't risk fudging around and losing him for a tribunal fee

They can if they see him as someone to keep them up.

They valued him at £23m in the summer despite his lack of experience etc... Which some would say is about £8m more than his real value...

They will want the same money in Jan IMO and their chairman is clearly from the levy mould

If they ever get round to deciding the fee for Ings it should give us and them an idea what he's worth. Sturridge went to Chelsea for £6.5m as the highest tribunal fee so far. Burnley will be hoping for 10 or more.

long way to go until then, he still has over 20 months left on his current deal, expires summer 2017 iirc
 
my point being, with only a season and a half left they only have 2 windows from which to get a decent fee for him unless he signs a new contract
 
I think we will try and do a deal, but I think ultimately we will not be successful. Peace will lose face. However, I could see WBA being sold before then, in which case everything is back on the table.
 
I guess lamela or njie will play as the lone striker? We really are in a bit of a striking pickle with both Chadli and son out.
 
Chadli as a striker, can you imagine it. No thanks.

Clinton isn't ready but what choice do we have. I think play him with good support from Lamela and Eriksen and hope Son is back soon.

Have faith in Kane guys, he'll be up and running again soon.

He will be sold, just not in January, he will leave next summer. Right now he is the only one scoring goals for them and league survival trumps all else

It has nothing to do with face and everything to do with staying up this season
