Luka Modric
Maybe I was smaller then, I recall the balls being much stiffer and heavier than modern ones.

The more you watch it, the better than gets!Surprised no one picked up this beauty by Sesko (we should really be after this kid. RB Salzburg now, going to Leipzig next season).
Van Basten'esque!
It's a fantastic finish. He stops the movement of the leg as soon as he hits it, to get the dip and not overhit it. He had a 25 yard volley goal vs Norway a few days before that too. Really good, promising young player. The more you watch it, the better than gets!
It's so controlled.
Also, didn't know Steve Perryman had a travel agency!
The Mitre Delta balls that were the officially approved balls in the late 80s and 90s were heavy as fudge compared to now. I played to a reasonable standard and the balls that came in around the early 2000s were a thing of beauty to me, changed the game in a massively positive way.Maybe I was smaller then, I recall the balls being much stiffer and heavier than modern ones.

in those days as a schoolboy hurting the opposition with a shot to the face or abdomen was a thing !So you could hoof it even further?
Ha ha, no it seemed to have the opposite effect. I think it gave players with slightly less natural ability the confidence to play more technical football. So you could hoof it even further?
That is the definition of a beautiful goal! Wow!! It's technically perfect.Surprised no one picked up this beauty by Sesko (we should really be after this kid. RB Salzburg now, going to Leipzig next season).

And great spot Kandi1977, he visibly shortens his follow through, just stunning. I love his celebration too like he can't believe what he's just done.Surprised no one picked up this beauty by Sesko (we should really be after this kid. RB Salzburg now, going to Leipzig next season).

That was pretty much how every GK collected the ball when i played. Charging out and jumping with studs, knee or elbow out. Or all at the same time. Didn't matter if they hit someone. No fk was ever given. This was a bit high though

RIP Ronnie Redford.
An iconic goal in English football.
