Was he though? Never heard of him, doesn’t make him bad of course, but would have thought with the amount of football I watch I would have come across this 24 year old if he was that good or one of the CL clubs would have gone in for him? We’ll see, he’s a complete unknown to me.
 
Pepe's more likely to put up numbers like this:

2017-18, 36 games, 13 goals, 4 assists.

Or this:

2016-17, 33 games, 3 Goals, 1 Assist.

As a neutral party my observation would be that he is 24 years old and over the past 3 seasons he has improved each season, 8 goals, 14 goals and then 23 goals however I must admit that the price is rather steep.

But do you watch a lot of French football? I am no expert myself but I recently listened to Julien Laurens French football journalist and broadcaster talking about him as he had been watching him for the last 3 years. He described him as the best player in the league last season not named Kylian Mbappe.
 
Barca cool Firpo interest
Barcelona have reportedly cooled their interest in Real Betis youngster Junior Firpo - who has also been linked with Liverpool and Manchester United .

The Catalan giants made contact with their domestic rivals over a potential switch for the left-back as they look to the future.

But, according to Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo, there has been no substantial progress in the negotiations.

Firpo, who was part of Spain’s victorious Under-21 Euros side this summer, was discussed in Madrid on Wednesday by Barca CEO Oscar Grau and Betis general director Federico Martinez.

Betis reportedly wanted around £18million up front with a further £6.5million in add-ons, but Barca were only willing to offer £16.5million plus £4.5million in add-ons.
