My thoughts as well, he can still do good things against lesser sides but against the best he is mainly a passenger.
Am I the only one that enjoyed a smidge of schadenfreude yesterday at his grand plan to use us to get fit for the Euros falling flat relatively early on in the tournament?
I know I probably shouldn’t see it that way, but to me, it feels a bit galling seeing him hare around for Wales yet steadfastly refuse to do that for us to manage his fitness to peak at the Euros. Or at least that’s how it looked to me.
That’s not to say we / Jose couldn’t have used that motivation to our advantage better, but still…
Walking off at a legitimate question - bringing it on himself after his ‘chaos’ comment - also felt pretty petulant.

I was sad to see them/him go out, I think it was realistically as far they could have gone though, don’t think they went out early.

Yes, it was. I just felt he was playing within himself, or for himself, for much of the season.
As I say, this one’s on me, and he wasn’t managed well by Jose either, so I guess you can’t blame him for putting Wales first.

Yep, Wales used be disappointed in not qualifying, now they are disappointed in not getting through the first knock out round. That's got to be seen as a success for them, even with Bale.
Once he retires they'll be back to hoping to qualify every few tournaments for a generation.

I think if they had gone out to one of the bigger teams they would be alot more happier than what they are now. Obviously Denmark are a much better team than Wales but they are not the sort of name you are happy being knocked out by.

To be fair wales we're shockingly brick though. For me the result was more to do with wales' ineptitude than Denmark brilliance, although they did play well.
We are much better defensively than wales even with our limitations, and not just dependent on one player from an attacking perspective.
If we had a decent manager we'd probably have an OK tournament. As it is I think we'll struggle to beat ze germans.
